For the October meeting, Tim returns to the Cincinnati PC Users Group to speak about the hot topic of Open Source Software. He will cover what defines Open Source Software, how you can use it and how you can get involved with an existing project, or start your own. He will demonstrate popular Open Source projects like LAMP, VNC, Xoops, PHPbb, Knoppix, and more!

Jenny Green, Director of Training and Documentation of Trivantis Corporation, a Cincinnati based Authoring software company, will give a 1 hour demonstration of Lectora Publisher, an authoring software that can publish HTML, CD-ROM, Single-file Executable, and to several E-Learning industry standards based content. Within the hour, Jenny will create a course from scratch, add content and multi-media, build in student interactivity, create a test assessment and publish to HTML.
