Microsoft’s Mindshare Groups Presentation in a Box Series

This month’s presentation will include the newest in Microsoft’s Windows XP Media Center 2005, Windows Media Player 10, Portable Media Center and Encarta. The newest type of operating system from the Gates organization is Windows XP Media Center which is an operating system redesigned for desktops and notebooks alike but with the idea of being the center of the digital home. Not only would it control your computer and multi-media needs but would undertake those various digital home devices we have heard so much about from appliances that communicate to your alarm systems.

Windows Media Player 10 is the newest in the series of media players and is designed to administer placement of and the playing of audio and video files. Portable Media Centers are handhelds, which display information on your audio and video files.

Encarta is a long-standing product in the Microsoft line. This  encyclopedia program provides not only the hard research data one might expect to find but also numerous video files and stills as well as web links for furthering the research experience to new heights.

Come to this months meeting for access to this information by fellow member Tom Dommershausen, who was instrumental in assisting Matt Mercurio with the presentation on the Digital Home last year as well as helping with the Build Your Own Computer Event.

The Mindshare Team at Microsoft has provided the Presentation In A Box and some Microsoft door prizes for this event.
